Oh so lovely.I am English and love Traffic but BST and Chicago were a revelation for me in 1968. They seemed to have everything, a big band sound and virtuosity. So I got in to Chicago and Terry Kath in particular. But both were brilliant and BST did the soundtrack to "Owl & Pussycat". A wonderful film and fantastic soundtrack.

From 2.35 on is some of the smoothest Jazz, starting  with the horns

Lot of discussion here about BST vs Chicago.  Have we forgotten Bill (CHASE) so soon? 

I always thought of BS&T as having more of a jazz band sound and Chicago as having more of a big band sound.

The Monk tune coming in is pure genius. What a unique atmosphere this piece has, like a fairy tale or a dream, but with real danger. Very wicked.

OMG...those horns arrangements are the shit!!!

The musicianship and tempo changes here are astonishing. Coupled with the incomparable vocals of David Clayton-Thomas, this rendition is head and shoulders superior to any other versions.
