This is the recording which Bechet did with Humphrey Lyttleton in 149. At the time the English Musicians Union had persuaded the government to ban American musicians from working with English musicians, but Bechet came over and recorded four sides with Lyttleton - for Humph it was too good an opportunity to miss. I have all four sides on 78 on the Melodisc label - they also included Georgia, Who`s Sorry Now, and Sleepy Time Down South. I don`t have a 78 gramaphone so I haven`t heard the in many years. As I recall, Lyttleton was charged and was in court once the records came out!
